It is no secret that United are in the market to overhaul their midfield department, and Ederson appears to be high up on Ineos’ shopping list.

On Monday, Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi was asked about interest in the midfielder and his response was clear.

As quoted by OneFootball, Percassi said: “So far, we do not have any formal offers, just informal interest from clubs.

“But it is natural that we have players who attract the interest of big clubs and we’ll evaluate them at the opportune moment.

Italian outlet CalcioMercato report that Atletico Madrid have cooled their interest in Ederson.

The report adds that Ederson’s preference is to join United, which is why Atletico have backed away from the deal.
