Manchester United are claimed to be exploring a move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson.
Atalanta midfielder Ederson is among the candidates to join Manchester United this summer, with the club looking to replace Casemiro.
Ederson is out of contract at Atalanta in 2027, which means the Serie A side are expected to cash in this summer.
The Guardian reported in April that Manchester United are monitoring Ederson, who could fit as an upgrade to Manuel Ugarte, joining another marquee signing.
Now, it has been claimed that Manchester United are holding talks with Ederson’s representatives.

Speaking to Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, journalist Matteo Moretto has explained that Manchester United have shown interest in Ederson, amid interest from competing clubs.
He explains: “In recent weeks, several English clubs have approached Ederson’s entourage with stronger offers, especially in terms of salary, higher than Atletico’s proposal.
“I can tell you that Manchester United are currently the club that has shown the most interest, offering around €4.5 million net per year. Arsenal have also made enquiries, though Ederson is not a priority for them.
“As things stand, I’d keep an eye on United. They’ve slightly improved the salary compared to Atletico, offering around €4.5m net. Of course, none of these clubs have reached an agreement with Atalanta yet, who continue to demand a high fee.
“We’ll have to see whether that asking price drops and which club can come closest to meeting it. Right now, United appear to have the strongest financial capacity and are also looking to sign two midfielders.”
United were claimed to have checked on Ederson’s situation back in January via intermediaries.
