Manchester United fans only have to wait a few more days before seeing new signing Bryan Mbeumo in action.
A 2-1 win over West Ham in the first game of the 2025 US pre-season tour means Manchester United have maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
However, Ruben Amorim raised a few eyebrows with his squad selection, explaining that Bryan Mbeumo’s debut will be delayed as he catches up to speed with the fitness of his new teammates.
The Red Devils face Bournemouth next before finishing the US tour against Everton – that is when Bryan Mbeumo is expected to make his first appearance for United.
Mbeumo will be keen to build up some momentum before the start of the new season, just as he did in 2022 when he scored against United.

Bryan Mbeumo starred against Man United in 2022 pre-season
United paid £65m to sign Mbeumo this summer after being wowed by his incredible record at Brentford, including 20 goals last season.
Mbeumo had a brilliant record against United during his time as a Brentford star, and it has been exactly three years to the day since he lit up Old Trafford in a pre-season friendly.
Back in 2022, United drew 2-2 with Brentford at Old Trafford, with Mbeumo scoring the final goal of the game to set up an exciting finish.
As written in United’s match report, Mbeumo “curled home an excellent leveller” for the visitors after goals from Anthony Elanga and Andreas Pereira.
Mbeumo scored past Tom Heaton, who remains on the books at United in 2025.
Ruben Amorim needs Bryan Mbeumo to hit the ground running
Many United fans were hoping to see their first glimpse of Mbeumo in action against West Ham, but it seems he is a little behind schedule this summer.
Mbeumo trained with Brentford before joining United, but clearly the 25-year-old is still settling into the club following his big money move.
However, Mbeumo is still expected to be part of the starting XI when the season starts, as part of a new-look attack with Cunha on the opposite flank.

Amorim has the toughest start to the season of any manager, with Arsenal up first for United in the Premier League.
Mbeumo may only have two pre-season games to get up to speed, with a debut hopefully against Everton on August 3, before facing Fiorentina on August 9 at Old Trafford.
