Ineos can now shift their attention to 2026 after wrapping up Manchester United’s summer transfer business.
Senne Lammens was signed for £18m from Royal Antwerp on deadline day, making him the fifth major signing of the summer.
When making the choice between Lammens or Emiliano Martinez, Ineos opted to stick to their long-term project and opted for the data-driven move for the 23-year-old.
It is the latest signal that Ineos are investing in the future, and it seems they have already laid the groundwork for some potential signings in 2026.

Two dream signings for Man United in 2026
United solved their goalkeeper dilemma by signing Lammens, and Ineos will hope he can be the new No.1 at Old Trafford for the next decade.
But it is no secret that Amorim wanted an “athletic” midfielder, and Ineos failed to deliver on his wish.
United made an approach for Carlos Baleba, but Brighton wanted a £100m+ fee for the midfielder and made it clear they want to keep hold of him for another year.
Therefore, Ineos are willing to wait for Baleba, and it seems inevitable that interest will be revived next summer.
On top of a midfielder, United will also need a new centre-back in 2026 as Harry Maguire is in the final year of his deal.
United showed interest in Goncalo Inacio this summer but ultimately decided that other positions were of a higher priority.
Inacio was an Amorim favourite at Sporting Lisbon, and his contract is valid until 2027, so the Portuguese club may feel pressured to cash in next summer.
The defender will be 25 years old next summer, making him an ideal replacement for Maguire.
Man United are already in good PSR position for 2026
It took Ineos a while to clear out Amorim’s squad this summer, but eventually the so-called ‘bomb squad’ was offloaded.
Importantly, a number of United’s sales won’t kick in until 2026.
Barcelona have a £26m buy option for Marcus Rashford, while Rasmus Hojlund’s loan to Napoli also includes a £38 buy option.

The cash injected from those sales should put United in a strong position to spend next summer under the Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules.
If Amorim is able to secure a return to European football, that should give United enough flexibility to land Baleba, Inacio and more.
