Lammens has been praised for not making errors this season, but he proved he is human against Liverpool with a costly mistake.
It has been claimed before that being United’s goalkeeper is the toughest position in football because of the pressure and scrutiny, and Lammens made his mistake in one of the biggest matches of the season.
But his response was excellent.
His former coach Rik De Mil explained that Lammens deals with errors brilliantly before he made his move to United.
He had moments of doubt which is normal for a young talent,” De Mil said. “When he made a mistake, he put more pressure on himself. Over the years he developed into somebody who can handle this pressure. When he makes a mistake, he just continues. He has grown a lot in this.”
De Mil’s comments turned out to be true at Old Trafford when Lammens recovered from his mistake to make a huge save against Liverpool.

In the 68th minute, Liverpool were pushing for a third goal which would have put them ahead in the clash.
