Former Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has proven why his blip in form is only temporary and is looking ahead to a major ‘first’ in his Manchester United spell.
Bryan Mbeumo has impressed at times in his debut season at Old Trafford, despite experiencing both ups and downs with his run of form for Manchester United.
The 26-year-old French-born attacker lived up to the early expectations that were placed on his shoulders after his immediate impact at the Premier League club.
However, Mbeumo’s form has been patchy in recent months under Michael Carrick and the Cameroon international has struggled in the final third for Man Utd.

Bryan Mbeumo’s excitement for the Champions League shows he is not letting his run of form haunt him
Bryan Mbeumo has never played in the Champions League, but that is about to change for the Cameroon star in the 2026-27 campaign with Manchester United.
The Red Devils punched their ticket back to the Champions League under Michael Carrick after Man Utd defeated Liverpool 3-2 at Old Trafford earlier this month.
United will return to European football next season and the Red Devils are within touching distance of ensuring that they finish third in the Premier League table.
Mbeumo knows how important UEFA’s elite club competition is for him and his Red Devils teammates, but also for the United fans to experience next season as well.
Speaking on Manchester United’s Inside Carrington podcast, he said: “Yeah, I just can’t wait [for the Champions League].
“I know that it means a lot for the club and for the fans. So, I know it’s going to be like an unbelievable atmosphere.”

Bryan Mbeumo has time on his side to find his best Man Utd form ahead of the Champions League run
Man Utd attacker Mbeumo won’t be featuring at the 2026 World Cup in North America after Cameroon failed to secure a place in the FIFA tournament.
However, the former Troyes player will have the United pre-season tour to find his feet again and build on the foundation that was laid down in the current season.
Form is temporary, class is permanent — and Mbeumo has certainly shown both of them in his debut season at Old Trafford after his high-profile 2025 transfer.
Mbeumo has already had a busy — and disruptive — season as it has been at United after he was called up to represent Cameroon at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The prospect of playing in the Champions League will no doubt light a fire in the belly of Mbeumo, who has already shown he can handle the pressure at United.
Whether it is Michael Carrick or another manager in the hot seat next season, Mbeumo’s form going into the Champions League run will be incredibly important.
