Manchester United appointed Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon with the Portuguese manager taking the helm after the November international break.
Erik ten Hag was relieved of his duties as Manchester United manager with the Red Devils languishing in 14th place in the Premier League.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to take charge of four games for United before Amorim’s appointment and has already recorded a 5-2 victory over Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.
Ruben Amorim will have to wait until the conclusion of the November international break before he takes on Ipswich Town on Portman Road.

One of the players that Amorim has played alongside is Victor Lindelof with the Portuguese tactician set to manage the Swedish defender once he begins his role at Old Trafford.
Speaking in the Swedish press, Lindelof said: “I have played with him and know him as a player. As a coach, he has also done very good things. I’ve only heard positive things about him. It will be very fun to meet him again and see what he will bring.”
Cristiano Ronaldo
Amorim has also played alongside a United legend in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo. The former midfielder and right-back played alongside the iconic forward during an international friendly for Portugal in 2014 against the Republic of Ireland.
Bernardo Silva
Amorim has also played alongside former SL Benfica and current Manchester City ace Bernardo Silva twice during the 2013/14 season.
