Zidane Iqbal has had a very good couple of months after making his Manchester United debut in December and Iraq senior debut in January.
Iqbal made his second Iraq debut as a substitute against Lebanon this week and the 18-year-old has benefitted from the experience.
There is big interest in the Manchester United teenager, as the first South Asian footballer to play for the club. Iqbal was also eligible to play international football for Pakistan.

The Athletic report Iqbal has ‘turned down a lucrative offer’ amid interest from clubs in the Middle East.
It was his choice to stay at United to try to further his career, a smart move on his part.
There will be plenty of time in Iqbal’s career for the money to come rolling in. Succeed at United and that will happen eventually. With a high profile thanks to his time at Old Trafford, chances will present themselves even if he does not crack the first team.
The Athletic‘s report claims a loan move lies ahead for Iqbal in 2022/23. If it does not happen this summer, then a mid-January move is probable.
Iqbal made his debut against Young Boys in the Champions League earlier this season. Whether he gets another chance is unclear, he will go back to working with the under-23 side.
The UEFA Youth League presents a chance for Iqbal to shine, with the attacking midfielder playing a key role in United reaching the knockout stages.
This is Iqbal’s first season with the under-23s after stepping up from the under-18s. If he can string together a consistent run of strong performances, more first team calls may come. He is already on Ralf Rangnick’s radar, and a bright future lies ahead.
