Manchester United star Matthijs de Ligt is extremely excited by the club’s summer transfer business.
So far this summer, Manchester United have made four major signings to bolster Ruben Amorim’s squad for the 2025/26 season.
Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo starred against Arsenal on their debuts for United last weekend, and Ruben Amorim will hope to see both signings get off the mark sooner rather than later.
The same goes for Benjamin Sesko, who was only given a 25-minute cameo against the Gunners.
There were plenty of positives from United’s performance against Arsenal, including an incredible display from Matthijs de Ligt.
The Dutch defender is confident things will only get better, especially from new signing Bryan Mbeumo.

Matthijs de Ligt expects Bryan Mbeumo to improve at Man Utd
Amorim praised Mbeumo’s debut display against Arsenal, and it seems the £65 million signing has been an instant hit with teammates too.
Kobbie Mainoo described Mbeumo as “special”, and centre-back De Ligt has also been mightily impressed by United’s new forward.
In a recent Manchester United YouTube video, De Ligt insisted that Mbeumo is not even at full fitness yet so fans can expect him to get even better.
“He’s really explosive, and he’s not even fully fit yet. He knows that he still has to work hard because he came from a shorter pre-season because he didn’t train at Brentford.
“So I think he has already shown so much quality, but I think when he becomes even more fit, you will see the real potential coming out.
“I can’t wait to see that because it will help us as a team massively.”
Bryan Mbeumo is bonding with new Man United attack
Amorim’s priority this summer was to overhaul United’s attacking options, and in Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesko he now has an exciting new front three.
The new trio enjoyed a small spell on the pitch together against Arsenal, but Amorim can unleash his new-look strike force against Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
Mbeumo has settled in brilliantly at United, with several members of the dressing room saying the atmosphere in the squad is the best it has ever been.

As always with new signings, it will take time to adapt, especially as none of United’s new forward line have played together.
As their fitness and understanding grows, United will only get better and better as the season progresses and that is an exciting prospect for Amorim.
