Ruben Amorim held training as Manchester United head coach for the first time on Monday morning.
The 39-year-old Portuguese manager has now been in Manchester for a week after Omar Berrada welcomed Ruben Amorim to Carrington last Monday.
Ruben Amorim and his staff had to wait for work visa issues to be sorted which meant he had to wait to hold his first training session at Carrington.
During Amorim’s first interview as United boss, he explained that he wants to immediately build an identity within the team – something that was severely lacking under Erik ten Hag.
He will take charge of his first match on Sunday afternoon away to Ipswich Town, and Amorim promised fans they will see “an idea” during that game.

Ruben Amorim includes Godwill Kukonki in Man United training
Amorim is expected to implement a 3-4-3 system at United – a formation he enjoyed huge success with in Portugal.
That means he will require a big pool of centre-backs to pick from. Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt were signed in the summer to address that issue after the injury crisis last season.
Lisandro Martinez will hope for a key role under Amorim, while Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans provide plenty of depth in defence.
Amorim gave 27 debuts to Sporting academy stars and it seems he already has his eyes on an up-and-coming talent at Carrington.
That is because Amorim has included 16-year-old centre-back Godwill Kukonki in his first training session according to Manchester Evening News.
Amorim is working with a reduced squad while 14 United players are out on international duty which has provided a golden opportunity for Kukonki to impress.
Who is Godwill Kukonki? Man United star compared to Josko Gvardiol
Kukonki has been making waves in United’s academy setup. At just 16 years of age, he has already broken through to the Under-21s side.
Kukonki made his first Under-21s appearance in October and now the young English defender, who was born in Stoke, has already been fast-tracked to the first team.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Kukonki has been compared to Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol because of his versatility and ability with his left foot.
There should be no concerns about Kukonki’s ability to cope with the Premier League’s physicality – he already stands at 6ft 5ins at 16 years old.
He has been a key part of United’s Under-18s side which currently boast a 100 percent winning record in the Under-18 Premier League. Kukonki has been part of a defence which has only conceded four goals in nine games.
