Manchester United fans have now been told what ‘people’ at Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp thought about new summer signing Senne Lammens.
Senne Lammens became a Manchester United player on deadline day after the Red Devils completed their final summer signing from Royal Antwerp on Monday.
The 23-year-old shot-stopper’s arrival at Old Trafford concluded the Red Devils’ spending spree, which included the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
United agreed to sign Lammens for an initial fee of £18.1m in the summer window, with Antwerp also ensuring add-ons were in the sale of the emerging Belgian talent.
The Red Devils have confirmed that Lammens will wear the No 31 shirt and the former Antwerp star has inked a deal that will keep him at United until 2030.
United’s acquisition of Lammens on deadline day also ended the Red Devils’ pursuit of Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez as a potential alternative summer signing.

Royal Antwerp legend Paul Bistiaux tells Man Utd fans what he knows about summer signing Senne Lammens
Ruben Amorim has needed a new shot-stopper to arrive through the doors at Old Trafford after the early mistakes from Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana this season.
Senne Lammens is now set to challenge both Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana for the United No 1 role, with the Belgian shot-stopper seen as a long-term investment.
Speaking to the ‘United! United! United!’ YouTube channel, Royal Antwerp legend Paul Bistiaux has broken down the true extent of Lammens’ personality off-camera.
When asked if he had heard anything positive about Lammens at Antwerp, he said: “They do, but here too, he seems to be a guy – I must admit [that] I don’t know him personally, so no misunderstanding there – but what I do hear from people that know him, he keeps very much to himself.
“He’s a very private person. No showboating, no, he’s very modest. He makes… maybe not humble.
“He’s not the war, but he’s very modest and he keeps away from the public eye.”
Paul Bistiaux explains more about Senne Lammens’ personality and sends a warning to the Man Utd summer signing as well
Paul Bistiaux has praised Lammens’ time at Antwerp and has insisted that United fans have signed a promising young talent who has a very positive personality.
However, he added that United’s signing will have to accept that his personality behind the scenes will see more exposure placed on him after his high-profile move.
“I’m sure it will be very difficult for him to do so at United for obvious reasons, but he very much keeps to himself,” Bistiaux continued.
“He doesn’t hang out too much with his [teammates]… it’s not that they’re not pally with each other – they are – but he’s like that [with] his personality, which is, I think, for a goalkeeper is good.”
United are ninth in the Premier League table and the Red Devils will return to action against Manchester City at the Etihad after the September international break.
