Amorim withdrew Patrick Dorgu at the 45-minute mark, ending a debut that Danish media found very exciting.

This decision proved a good one for Manchester United as it led to a comeback – with Joshua Zirkzee impressing during his cameo with a goal.

The game-winner came in Fergie Time, with Harry Maguire scoring in front of the Stretford End – leading to huge celebrations.

What Ruben Amorim told Alejandro Garnacho

Despite not scoring, it was Alejandro Garnacho who was the game-changer for United after his half-time entrance.

Speaking to the press after the match – Garnacho revealed the message Amorim gave him before he brought the 20-year-old on.

“Yeah, he doesn’t have to say too much. He has said to me the things I have to do, and he knows what I can do, so he said, play how you want to play, and just enjoy.”

Following this, Garnacho spoke about Amorim as he was full of praise for his head coach.

“I think he’s a great guy, you know, he likes to play like real football. So yeah, we have to work all together and we will be a better team in the future.”

Garnacho named Manchester United’s man of the match

Garnacho’s performance against Leicester was very impressive as his direct dribbling caused the Foxes all sorts of problems, and it also played a big part in Zirkzee’s goal.

Wes Brown lauded Garnacho on MUTV, stating that the Argentine made the difference with a style which his teammates will have loved.

On the club website, fans also reinforced the quality of Garnacho as he was voted to be the man of the match for the Red Devils.

Garnacho’s performances lately have made the decision not to sell him look very smart – as it would have been regretted.
