Ruben Amorim has dropped his clear-cut assessment on one Manchester United player’s strong performance in the pre-season friendly encounter against West Ham on Sunday.
Manchester United travelled to the United States last week for the next leg of their pre-season campaign, with the Red Devils playing three matches in the country.
The Red Devils had kicked off their pre-season summer tour earlier this month with their visit to Sweden, with United playing Leeds United in a 0-0 draw in Solna.
Following United’s uneventful friendly match with Leeds United in Stockholm, Ruben Amorim’s men returned to pre-season action in East Rutherford on the weekend.
United faced West Ham at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and the Red Devils came out on top in the Premier League Summer Series match with a 2-1 win.
Bruno Fernandes made a real impact on Sunday and the Red Devils skipper scored in both the first half and the second half for United against West Ham in the match.

Ruben Amorim singles out what he saw from Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund vs West Ham at the MetLife Stadium
Manchester United took the lead against West Ham in the fifth minute after Bruno Fernandes converted from the spot-kick and the Red Devils led 1-0 at half-time.
Fernandes completed his United brace only seven minutes after the break, while Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net for the Hammers in the 63rd minute.
Rasmus Hojlund was deployed as the lone striker in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for United and the Danish forward had a lively presence in Sunday’s 2-1 win.
The 22-year-old United striker was unfortunate not to score in the first half in the friendly tie after Rasmus Hojlund saw his shot smash against the outside of the post.
Speaking after Hojlund’s display at the MetLife Stadium, United manager Amorim admitted that he “really liked” what he saw from the United forward on the day.
“Rasmus [Hojlund] did well,” he said, as per the Metro.
“I really liked Rasmus’s game, the runs and the way he fought during the game, one against one, when we kicked the ball.
“He connected with the teammates, so he did a great job.”
Rasmus Hojlund received a major confidence boost vs West Ham and the Man Utd striker can still turn things around
Rasmus Hojlund played for United against Leeds United and the Denmark international was hooked off at half-time for Chido Obi at in the friendly match.
However, fast-forward from the pre-season opener earlier this month to the Premier League Summer Series tie on the weekend and Hojlund looked a lot better in attack.
Hojlund impressed in the first half at the MetLife Stadium, but the Danish forward still lacked the clinical edge with some of his clear-cut chances against West Ham.
The United star was able to secure more minutes in the second half in New Jersey before Amorim withdrew him and replaced him with Chido Obi in the 66th minute.
