Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has been laying down the law to the team’s players.

We have seen clips and images of Ruben Amorim conducting training sessions at Manchester United this week.

The new head coach is getting to know his players, laying down his methodology, trying to implement his new identity on the team.

This is the biggest work Ruben Amorim is doing behind the scenes at Carrington, trying to get inside the heads of his new Manchester United squad.

Amorim warns Manchester United players

Manchester United’s players seemed to enjoy the first training session earlier this week, with Marcus Rashford and Casemiro commenting on social media.

But it has not all been fun and games. According to The Mail, Ruben Amorim has issued a stern warning to his new players.

Amorim is said to have warned them in no uncertain terms that they must be professional off the pitch, and not let the club or their teammates down.

It was a reminder that despite Amorim’s charming and personable approach, he intends to uphold high standards.

It comes amid debate between club legends Gary Neville and Roy Keane, who disagreed over Rashford and Casemiro flying to New York in the weekend before their first training session under Amorim.

Manchester United looking for lift

Ruben Amorim’s arrival as Manchester United head coach comes ahead of a frenetic period of fixtures, with a tough run of games ahead.

Amorim needs total buy-in from his players, and it sounds like he will get it. The squad are no doubt embarrassed to be sitting in 13th position in the Premier League, and will welcome the help and fresh approach.

It had clearly gone stale under Erik ten Hag. While there were defensive improvements this season, the attack took a further step backwards.

Amorim’s new approach is expected to liven United up. Ruud van Nistelrooy showed in his brief spell as caretaker boss that the players are capable of delivering more, and now it’s time for the squad to do so on a consistent basis.
