Ruben Amorim showed incredible class to one Manchester United fan who was standing outside of the Carrington training complex in a now-viral clip on social media.

The 39-year-old Portuguese manager faces a massive task to turn around Manchester United’s season after replacing Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford hot seat.

United currently languish in 14th place in the Premier League table after their 2-0 defeat to Wolves at the Molineux last Thursday.

The Red Devils have only managed six league wins from 18 matches in the 2024-25 campaign and United are eight points above the relegation zone.

Ruben Amorim’s hopes of mounting a top-four challenge seem all but over, with United now 13 Premier League points adrift from fourth-place Chelsea.

United struggled to impress in the current season under Erik ten Hag before the Dutchman was sacked as Red Devils boss in late October.

Ruud van Nistelrooy was installed as interim United manager after Ten Hag was axed and the Red Devils legend led the club until Amorim’s arrival in November.

Amorim left Sporting CP and inked a deal with United until June 2027 after the Red Devils paid the £9.25m release clause to the defending Primeira Liga champions.

Amorim’s interaction with Man Utd fan

Ruben Amorim has won four of his first 10 matches in charge of Manchester United across all competitions after succeeding Erik ten Hag at the Red Devils.

However, the Red Devils’ form has fallen off a cliff since their 2-1 comeback win over Manchester City at the Etihad earlier this month.

Amorim’s men have lost their last three matches across all competitions, including making their exit from the Carabao Cup after a quarter-final defeat to Tottenham.

Despite United’s poor run of form, the former Sporting CP boss won Red Devils supporters over even more so with his interaction with one young fan.

TikTok user ‘mufcmaxcarrington’ shared a clip of a young United fan standing outside the Carrington training complex in the hopes of meeting Amorim.

Amorim stopped his car outside of the Carrington entrance and was presented with a card, with the United manager subsequently posing for a photo with the fan.

The United head coach then offered to take the fan for a lap around Carrington after the young Red Devils supporter told Amorim that he liked his car.

The video subsequently made the rounds on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and United fans praised Amorim for his touch of class.

Amorim sends message to Man Utd fans

United play their last match of 2024 on Monday evening against Newcastle at Old Trafford, with kick-off for the Premier League clash slated for 8pm UK time.

Speaking ahead of the match, Amorim insisted that he is ready for the challenge at United and urged Red Devils supporters to back his plans at Old Trafford.

“When I took this job, I knew that I was signing up for a lot of work,” he said in United Review, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“If we are to make the long-term changes that we want to make to Manchester United, then we have to go through that step by step.

“We are looking to implement a new way of playing, at the busiest time of the year, so there are short-term costs for our long-term aims.

“I will say, though, that the players are working hard to take on and use all the new information and instructions they are getting.

“The longer they do this, the easier it will become for them, and then the comfort and confidence in our game will grow.”
