Mason Mount is once again fighting to get fit for Manchester United, on the comeback trail after another injury last month.
A disastrous 2024 at Manchester United for Mason Mount is fresh in the mind, but the midfielder will be keen to make 2025 a success.
Mount managed just 20 games in the calendar year, as he seemed to have never-ending bad luck with injuries that continued right through the year.
Ruben Amorim had tipped Mount to be pivotal in the new system. However, this was short-lived with Mount getting injured against Man City last month.
Now as we await his return, Mount has shared a photo showing he is working hard to get back.

Manchester United’s curse of Mount being injured is something every fan is desperate to see end – with the majority backing him to eventually come good.
In limited playing time this season, Mount has looked good, but ultimately needs to stay fit otherwise solid cameos are pointless.
Well now, on Mount’s 26th birthday – he has posted an image of himself working hard to get fit again.

Posting on his personal Instagram, Mount was on a spin bike in a gym which we are not sure is Carrington.
Mount looks in good spirits and this image from behind the scenes does suggest he is close to returning to training – something that will delight Amorim.

Manchester United will feel scammed by Chelsea
In six months time, Mount will have completed his second full season as a United player and yet he has not managed a consistent run of games.
Mount has only played 32 times so far since his £55m move – equating to just 1,159 minutes – while also only scoring once and assisting once.
This means United have shelled out £47,454 per minute Mount has played. While also costing the club £1,718,750 per appearance – a ludicrous amount considering he would have been free last summer.
This is not even factoring in his massive £250,000-a-week wage.
Due to this, it is sure that United will feel completely ripped off by Chelsea – which makes it obvious why Ineos are so reluctant to hand out massive contracts and wages until they are earned at the club.
