Injury concerns were rife last season for Manchester United and already this season is following the same trend.
We have not even reached the first competitive game of the season yet, but already Manchester United are suffering from various injuries.
Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund both saw their pre-season end in the first half against Arsenal, with three-month and six-week absences respectively.
Following this, there have been various players suffered knocks, and Will Fish picked up a bad injury which saw him stretchered off and now he’s out for five weeks.
The timing could not be worse for the defender according to reports.

Will Fish was set for an increased role at Manchester United
Prior to Fish getting injured on tour, he was impressing over in the United States, looking like a player who could potentially play a role this season or alternatively make a move to a Championship side.
However, according to Samuel Luckhurst and Manchester Evening News, Fish was actually told before the injury that he would be staying at the club this season to provide the cover needed after Yoro’s injury.
This would have been a terrific opportunity for Fish, however, he now will not get his chance or a transfer with his injury keeping him out for five weeks.
Fish has suffered torn ligaments, and this all but rules out a move with the report also stating that he had generated Championship interest.
What now in defence for Manchester United?
For United, losing two central defenders so early in the season when the other centre-backs are injury-prone is a concerning outcome to pre-season.
But if Fish was seen as the player to reinforce the position, who would take his place in the squad now?
With Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire also injury concerns, United have just two fit centre-backs, which is a disastrous way to start the season.
It is more clear than ever before that United must now make a move and sign a new central defender this summer – but even that might not be enough.
