Manchester United couldn’t have dreamt of a worse start to the season than seeing both Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund injured, here are all the details.

Injuries continue to plague Manchester United, with last season proving to be far from a fluke but rather a warning sign for what was to come.

After a terrible injury record last season which was unparalleled by any other club, pre-season has seen this trend continue with both Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro picking up early injuries.

Two starters out already and the US tour isn’t even over for United, with one fixture still to play following the outing against Betis.

Now, the full extent of these injury blows has been revealed, here’s how long the duo are set to miss after the injuries sustained against Arsenal.

Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund’s injury details revealed

Both Hojlund and Yoro are now set for a substantial period on the sidelines as the extent of their injuries are shared.

This is despite there being hope that the injuries could end up being less serious than they initially seemed, especially in Hojlund’s case.

But as relayed by Laurie Whitwell among others, the injury news on the duo is pretty bleak. Yoro is set to miss around three months of action, with what is believed to be a metatarsal injury – he was also spotted wearing a protective boot on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Hojlund will be absent for six weeks with a hamstring injury which will be a concern for Ten Hag, but also justifies the signing of Joshua Zirkzee.

This blow will be a tough one for Erik ten Hag to take as he’d have been hoping the injury crisis could be left in 2023/24.

What games will the pair return for?

Both players missing such long periods is the worst possible start to their seasons and it leaves the club short in both positions.

Up front, Hojlund’s six-week absence will be a huge factor in the opening weeks of the season and could see Zirkzee handed the chance to usurp the Dane from the get-go.

Hojlund will likely be available again for the September 14th fixture against Southampton, with the six weeks taking him into the international break.

For Yoro, three months out is a nightmare start to life at a new club and now he won’t play until we’d imagine October 19th against Brentford, following the October international break at the very earliest.
