Manchester United loanee Rasmus Hojlund is earning plenty of plaudits after his start to the season with Napoli.
Rasmus Hojlund netted a brace in Napoli’s final fixture of 2025, leading a 2-0 victory over Cremonese.
The Dane has now scored nine goals in 19 games for Napoli so far this season, and manager Antonio Conte has hailed his improvement.
“He’s becoming a dominant player in his position,” Conte commented after Napoli’s latest victory.
The praise for Hojlund keeps on coming, with Hojlund’s form in Italy becoming a big topic amid a close title race in Serie A.
Did Manchester United make a mistake sending Rasmus Hojlund on loan?

Rasmus Hojlund form praised
Former Atalanta, Fiorentina and Inter striker Giampaolo Pazzini made a point of praising Hojlund during a recent pundit appearance on Sportsmediaset.
Pazzini, 41, is a former Italy international, and he believes Rasmus Hojlund’s improvement this season is all down to Napoli boss Antonio Conte.
He said, with words transcribed via TMW: “At the moment, Hojlund, under Conte, is the strongest striker in Serie A alongside Lautaro. Since he arrived, he has undergone an incredible transformation.
“He has always been a good player, but with great instinct, great power, he was a wild horse. Conte took him, educated him and raised him.”
Pazzini praised the way Hojlund works on behalf of the Napoli team, pointing out that his game is more than simply goalscoring.
“Now he’s a fantastic striker because he plays for the team, he doesn’t make a single mistake, he never gets anticipated, he plays short, he plays long, he’s vicious in front of goal.
“Now he’s decisive throughout the match and you also find him in the defensive phase.”
It’s hard to believe this is the same Rasmus Hojlund that scored only four Premier League goals for Manchester United last season.

Napoli on track to land Hojlund permanently
Rasmus Hojlund’s move to Napoli went through late in the transfer window, after his initial pleas to stay at Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim axed Hojlund from the squads for the final two friendly matches, once he knew the deal for Benjamin Sesko was done.
United struck a deal to send Hojlund on loan for the season, which includes a purchase option – that becomes an obligation on one condition.
