Manchester United youngster Radek Vitek’s goalkeeping style has drawn comparisons to Peter Schmeichel and Oliver Kahn.
Vitek signed from Czech club Sigmy Olomouc in July 2020. So far this season, United’s number 50 started five of the six UEFA Youth League group games, which saw Neil Wood’s side qualify for the last-16.
The youngster played the full 90 minutes in Wednesday’s 4-1 FA Youth Cup win against Everton at Old Trafford.
He has two clean sheets from eight appearances for United’s under-18s side so far this season.

However, his only experience playing Premier League 2 football for the club’s under-23s side didn’t prove to be a successful one.
Vitek conceded six goals in the 6-0 defeat to West Ham back in October. He hasn’t played since and has been on the bench on two occasions.
According to the Athletic, Vitek has drawn comparisons with Dean Henderson when it comes to his drive and ambition.

His style also has echoes of goalkeeping legends Peter Schmeichel and Oliver Kahn. But at the age of 18, the Czech Republic under-17 international has a long way to go to follow in the footsteps of two of the greatest goalkeepers of all-time.
With Matej Kovar expected to leave the club on loan, Northern Ireland under-19 international Dermot Mee moved up to train with the first team during the Christmas period.
Kovar did eventually get his January move, after he joined League One side Burton Albion on deadline day.

Although Mee, who spent a month on loan at Trafford earlier in the season, would have undoubtedly loved the surreal experience of training with United’s first team, he did miss out on securing a loan move.
Non-league sides Lancaster City and Matlock Town as well as Scottish giants Celtic’s reserve team were all interested in loaning Mee.
