Andre Onana has been nothing short of sensational for Manchester United this season.

Manchester United beat Everton 4-0 on Sunday afternoon to hand new head coach Ruben Amorim his first Premier League victory.

Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee starred and each scored twice, while Amad Diallo was named man of the match.

But United’s back line also deserves credit with Andre Onana keeping his sixth clean sheet of the season – more than any other goalkeeper in the top flight.

Onana sent a tribute message to Rashford after the full-time whistle, but he deserves as much praise as anyone this season.

Andre Onana has achieved ‘world-class’ status

Earlier this season, Onana was described as United’s MVP after saving the Red Devils from embarrassment in a handful of games.

Onana won the September save of the month award, while he also saved a critical penalty against Southampton before United went on to win 3-0.

After Onana joined United from Ajax, he endured a rocky start at the club and was heavily criticised for his performances in the Champions League group stage.

However, the Cameroon international never lost confidence. He has been superb for United this season and is arguably in contention for the Player of the Season award so far.

Former United star Ben Foster hailed Onana as “world-class” this season and there are three stats that suggest he should now be considered the best in the Premier League.

Andre Onana is the Premier League’s best goalkeeper

This season, it is hard to name one goalkeeper who has been more impactful than Onana has been for United.

He leads the Premier League in clean sheets (6) after the Everton victory and has also prevented the most goals of any keeper with 4.66 goals prevented.

As pointed out by Stretford Paddock, Onana also leads the Premier League in attacking passes with 484 – 33 more than Chelsea’s Robert Sanchez in second place.
