Andre Onana waxed lyrical about one Manchester United teammate after Ruben Amorim’s men completed a 4-0 thrashing of Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Manchester United sealed an important three points to keep them in contention in the race for top four and Champions League qualification for next season.
Sunday’s 4-0 result has United in ninth place in the Premier League table and Ruben Amorim’s side are only four points adrift from the top four.
Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for United in the first half at Old Trafford before Joshua Zirkzee added to the Red Devils’ scoreline before half-time.
The 27-year-old put United 3-0 up only a minute into the second half, with Sean Dyche’s men offering very little in response to the Red Devils’ performance.
Joshua Zirkzee, much like Marcus Rashford, netted in the second half and completed his brace as United secured a convincing Premier League win on Sunday.

Onana’s message to Man Utd teammate
Andre Onana added another clean sheet to his name and the Manchester United star is currently leading the race for the Premier League Golden Glove award this season.
The 28-year-old United No 1 has six clean sheets in the league alone, putting him ahead of Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels, who has five to his name.
Onana has impressed this season at Old Trafford and the former Ajax and Inter Milan star has been one of United’s best performers in the 2024-25 campaign.
The Cameroon international has overcome a mixed first season at Old Trafford after he was reunited with former United manager Erik ten Hag in 2023.
Following on from the Everton match, Onana took to Instagram and hailed Marcus Rashford for the United star’s stunning impact for the Red Devils.
Posting a photo of the pair after the full-time whistle against Everton, Onana simply wrote: “Red soldiers.”
Amorim asked about Premier League top four
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Ruben Amorim insisted that he is more focused on the performances on the pitch rather than United aiming for a top-four finish.
“If I said no, you would say I cannot be a Manchester United coach,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“But I want to be honest with our fans, so let’s focus on the performance, not the results.
“We’ll see in the end. I will be judged by the place that we finish, I know that, but let’s just focus on the next game and look at the performance.
“On Thursday, we [won] 3-2, but I think we deserved more. Today was a 4-0 [win], but I think Everton deserved more.
“So, let’s focus on the performance, congratulations to the lads, let’s rest, recover and think about Arsenal.”
