Christian Eriksen’s agent shocked Wrexham chief executive Michael Williamson in the summer when they discussed a potential deal for the Championship outfit to sign the veteran midfielder.
It was a long summer for Christian Eriksen after his contract at Manchester United expired.
Eriksen’s name rarely featured in the gossip columns despite being available as a free agent, causing unrest among pundits in his homeland of Denmark.
Former Everton and Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen expressed concern over Eriksen when it looked like he was struggling to find a new club.
However, in September, Eriksen accepted an offer from Wolfsburg to move his career to Germany.
Eriksen has since made seven appearances for Wolfsburg, who currently sit 12th in the Bundesliga table.

Christian Eriksen did not want to appear in Wrexham documentary
Wrexham chief executive Michael Williamson has explained why Eriksen snubbed their initial proposal to sign him in the summer.
The Welsh side approached Eriksen in the summer but a deal never materialised.
After rising through English football’s ranks from the National League to the Championship, Wrexham’s popularity grew with the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ series on Disney+.
It is now understood that Eriksen turned down a chance to join Wrexham because he did not want to appear in the club’s documentary series.
Speaking on That Wrexham Podcast, Williamson said: “I reached out to the agent [Martin Schoots].
“And what was really interesting in the first call is the reaction was, ‘We don’t want his story to be in a documentary, because we’ve had plenty of opportunities for a documentary for his story’.
“He thought we were calling not because of his footballing capabilities, but because we wanted a documentary story (about Eriksen).
“I’m like, ‘Wait a minute. I didn’t even think about that’. Obviously, I’m aware of it, but that wasn’t the reason we were calling.
“We were calling because he could potentially be an interesting footballer.
“We were looking for players that could play for us in the Championship, difference-makers that could help us be competitive on the pitch.
“After I explained what our actual objectives were, trying to build a competitive squad and that I wasn’t even thinking about it from a documentary perspective, we had a great conversation.”
Man Utd’s 100% record against Wrexham
United have played Wrexham five times in the past, with the Red Devils winning all of those matches.
The first meeting took place in an FA Cup fourth round tie in 1957, with United winning 5-0 thanks to two goals from Liam Whelan and Tommy Taylor, while Rodger Byrne also got on the scoresheet.
In the most recent meeting, back in 1995, United won 5-2 in the FA Cup fourth round. Wrexham opened the scoring before United came from behind, thanks to a Denis Irwin brace, on top of goals from Ryan Giggs, Brian McClair and a Tony Humes own goal.
