Manchester United have committed to a new future after firing head coach Ruben Amorim.
Ineos have fired their second manager, with Ruben Amorim sacked just over a year since he replaced Erik ten Hag.

It means there is yet another reset for the Red Devils, with the club now searching for a permanent successor to Ruben Amorim.
If there is one thing we have learned over the years, it is that there are no quick fixes.
The wise words of Sir Alex Ferguson have already presented a warning to Ineos.

What Sir Alex Ferguson said
Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson gave a rare interview at the end of December, reflecting on the club’s challenges.
He compared the situation to Liverpool’s many years in the wilderness, while he was in charge at United.
Ferguson told Press Box PR: “It is not easy. I remember looking back on my own time there, starting off when Liverpool were the bee’s knees. They were a fantastic club winning the European Cup four times and all that, but then it took them 31 years to win the league again.
“We are now in the same situation. It could be ten years, could be 11 years, because of that cycle.
“It has to be thought out carefully and we have to make sure the recruitment is going to be better than what it was.”
United do appear to have improved the player recruitment strategy under Amorim – but the manager situation less so.

Manchester United start again
The big frustration for Manchester United fans is that the club are back in a situation where we are starting afresh, again.
At some point the ownership need to find their manager, hold their nerve and stick with him.
Ineos tried with Amorim. The club statement even made clear that they were ‘reluctantly’ parting ways with him.
But the end result is the same no matter their demeanour.
United are left searching for another new manager, beginning a totally new cycle.
It could be a long wait until we reach the promised land once again.
