Iconic former manager Sir Alex Ferguson dropped his infamous ‘hairdryer treatment’ on two Manchester United legends in the dressing room for one major reason.
Sir Alex Ferguson bowed out of Old Trafford as Manchester United manager in 2013 after the Red Devils lifted their last Premier League title.
The 82-year-old iconic Scot engineered all 13 of the Red Devils’ Premier League title wins during his remarkable 26-year reign at United.
Ferguson also led United to two Champions League trophies, five FA Cups and four League Cups, including lifting a continental treble with the club in 1999.
The United legend is widely regarded as one of the best managers of all time after his impact in England with the Red Devils and in Scotland with Aberdeen.

Ferguson blasted two Man Utd legends
Manchester United were edged out of the Premier League title on the final day of the season in the 2011-12 campaign to crosstown rivals Manchester City.
Sergio Aguero’s heroics in injury time clinched a 3-2 comeback win for Manchester City against Queens Park Rangers and snatched the title away from United.
Goal difference separated United and City in the title race in the 2011-12 season, with Sir Alex Ferguson bouncing back with a marquee signing for the 2012-13 campaign.
Ferguson bolstered his attacking options for his final season at Old Trafford with the addition of Robin van Persie from Arsenal in a stunning £24m move in 2012.
The former United manager has been the subject of a two-part BBC Sport documentary, called ‘Sir Alex,’ which debuted on the BBC iPlayer on Boxing Day.
The documentary on Ferguson has first-hand accounts from several influential figures, including United legends Michael Carrick, Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.
Michael Carrick has now revealed that Aberdeen legend Ferguson blasted both him and Paul Scholes for “not passing” to former United striker Robin van Persie.
“[…] The boss sat us down in a team meeting and had a go at me and Scholesy for not passing to Robin,” he said, as per BBC Sport.
Carrick on Van Persie and Ferguson
Robin van Persie made a sensational impact in his debut season at Old Trafford and fired the Red Devils to the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City.
The 41-year-old Dutchman featured in all 38 Premier League matches in the 2012-13 campaign and Van Persie scored an impressive 26 times.
Van Persie secured the Premier League Golden Boot en route to United’s title win, with Ferguson subsequently calling it time on his legendary managerial career.
Michael Carrick has insisted that Ferguson coming down hard on him and Paul Scholes must have “made Robin feel 10 foot tall.”
“That was the boss’ way of making him feel like, ‘You’ve come into a dressing room that’s successful and full of winners, but you can make the difference for us,’” Carrick added.
