Ruben Amorim seems to have made a great impression on summer signing Senne Lammens.

An £18m deal for Senne Lammens was the final action of Manchester United’s summer transfer window, with the 23-year-old Belgian brought in to replace Andre Onana.

Lammens starred on his debut against Sunderland, and he retained his starting spot for Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

United fans were in awe of Lammens against Liverpool after he made crucial saves against Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo.

Amorim put his faith in Lammens to be United’s No.1 goalkeeper, and it seems the player has already struck a very strong relationship with the Red Devils boss.

Senne Lammens praises Ruben Amorim impact

Amorim has to handle the media spotlight that comes with being United boss, but he has handled it with grace and remained transparent and honest with supporters.

When he first arrived, Amorim promised to protect his players from criticism and pressure and that is an incredibly tough task at United.

After the win at Anfield, Lammens was full of praise for Amorim and his management style.

As quoted by The Sun, Lammens said: “For me he’s always the same. I haven’t been here as long, so maybe it’s different for other guys.

“But for me, as a coach, he gets a lot of pressure, you can feel it from the outside, you can read it, you can hear it.

“But I think he does his best, and he does really good, tries to keep the pressure on him and not on the team.

“He takes a lot of the pressure from us, and that’s also what the great managers do.

“I try my hardest [to shut out the noise]. I think I’m quite okay at this, trying to keep the noise out from outside.”

Man United players are fighting for Ruben Amorim

There are several members of this current squad who have been accused of throwing managers under the bus at United.

But Sunday’s result showed that the entire squad was aligned, and Amorim’s plan to expose Liverpool was executed perfectly.

In Portugal, Amorim was adored by Sporting players, and his charm and personality has also made him very likeable in Manchester.
