Jadon Sancho is still not in pre-season training and therefore missed Manchester United’s final warmup game against Everton.
Bruno Fernandes was among a host of Euro 2020 stars who made their United returns in the game at Old Trafford.
And even without Sancho, United ran riot somewhat in the first half.
Mason Greenwood and Harry Maguire put United in command before a stunning Bruno Fernandes free kick made it 3-0.
Sancho was clearly watching on and wasted no time showing his admiration for his new teammate.
A simple message was all it took for him to echo the thoughts of many United fans who watched Bruno’s piece of magic.
His free kick was hit with dip and power, giving Jordan Pickford absolutely no chance.
Bruno has started as he means to go on ahead of a season where United are expected to launch a title challenge, buoyed by the arrivals of Sancho and Raphael Varane.

You can’t read too much into pre-season but United’s display was purposeful in attack and they didn’t give Everton a sniff in the first half.
That attack should only improve when Sancho comes back and we can’t wait to see him and Bruno linking up at Old Trafford.
