Ryan Giggs has made his feelings perfectly clear on who he expects to win the Premier League title and how Manchester United will perform next season.

The 50-year-old Welshman was part of the last Manchester United team to win a Premier League title in the 2012-13 season under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

Red Devils icon Ryan Giggs lifted all 13 of United’s Premier League titles after spending his entire legendary playing career at Old Trafford.

United have struggled in the aftermath of Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, with the Red Devils falling short of lifting the league title again.

Former United managers Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led the Red Devils to second place in the Premier League during their respective spells at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag oversaw United’s worst finish in the Premier League last season, with the Red Devils tumbling to eighth place in the 2023-24 campaign.

The 54-year-old Dutchman saw his United first team ravaged by injuries last season, but Erik ten Hag ended the campaign on a high note by lifting the FA Cup trophy.

Giggs’ Premier League prediction for Man Utd

Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign for the 2024-25 season on Friday, with the Red Devils hosting Fulham at Old Trafford for an 8pm kick-off.

Erik ten Hag’s men will hope to bounce back from their penalty shootout defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield clash at Wembley last Saturday.

Speaking to the Webby & O’Neill YouTube channel, Ryan Giggs was asked if he could see United boss Ten Hag leading the Red Devils back to the top four.

The United legend fully backed his former side to finish inside the top four in the 2024-25 Premier League season after getting the right “structure” in place.

Giggs also singled out the “exciting young players” in Ten Hag’s squad, with the former United star spotlighting both Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

“I think they will [Man United to finish in the top four]. Yeah, I think they will,” he said.

“I think with the structure that we’ve now got in place, I think we’ve made some good signings.

“I think we’ve got some of the most exciting young players [like] Mainoo and Garnacho, can’t wait to see them keep improving.

“So yeah, I think we’ve got a great chance.”

Giggs predicts Premier League winner

Manchester City made history last season by capturing an unprecedented fourth Premier League title in a row.

Pep Guardiola’s men edged out Arsenal to the Premier League trophy by only two points in the 2023-24 campaign.

Giggs admitted it would be an “unbelievable achievement” if City lifted a fifth league title in a row, but the former Wales boss has backed Arsenal to capture the trophy.

When asked who will win the Premier League title, he responded: “I don’t know. I don’t know.

“I mean, I think, you know, City winning it. What would it be? Five, five in a row, which, yeah, is [an] unbelievable achievement.

“I think Arsenal will be up there again. I think they’ll just keep improving. So, I’ll say Arsenal, Yeah, I think so, yeah.”
