Manchester United will welcome Everton to Old Trafford on Monday night and Ruben Amorim has already highlighted the player he is most scared to face.

The game sees a repeat of Amorim’s biggest win for United almost exactly one year on, but plenty has changed. A big win here would be massive for United and make a statement in the Champions League football race.

But Everton are well equipped to spoil United’s positivity.

Ruben Amorim heaps praise on Iliman Ndiaye

While United are the clear favourites for this clash, David Moyes will be full of belief that he can send Amorim back into a crisis with an Everton win. Everton have players who can cause United real issues and Iliman Ndiaye is the main dangerman.

Speaking with club media, Amorim named Ndiaye among some of the players he expects to cause his side issues.

“I think [Jack] Grealish is doing really well. He can push that team, can give weight to that team. [Iliman] Ndiaye is an amazing player.

“So, all these things, [it] is a more complete team, and David Moyes is doing an amazing job. It’s going to be really, really tough to win the game.”

Ndiaye is an excellent forward and United’s defenders will have to be at the top of their game to deny the Senegalese star from silencing Old Trafford.

Manchester United should be keeping an eye on Iliman Ndiaye

At the age of just 25, Ndiaye is similar to Matheus Cunha in that he is among the best players in the league, playing for a midtable side.

This season has been his best yet with four goals and an assist in 11 games, regularly shining and putting in weekly 7/10 performances.

Ndiaye suits United’s recruitment policy of Premier League proven and he would be a talent that Ineos are considering for next summer.

Fabrizio Romano claimed United want to sign a versatile attacker in 2026 and Ndiaye would suit this demand, offering options across the front three and Premier League proven.

United’s recruitment team will have front row seats on Monday to see Ndiaye in action and the result of a stellar display could be United considering him over Antoine Semenyo. However, we have to hope this doesn’t happen.
