Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has sent a clear-cut message to Red Devils supporters after the Premier League defeat to Wolves at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils languish in 14th place in the Premier League table and Manchester United have won only 10 matches from a possible 33 league fixtures.
Ruben Amorim’s men face an uphill battle in finishing in the top half of the Premier League table in the 2024-25 campaign with only five league matches remaining.
United are on course for their worst finish in the Premier League era and their hopes of European football for next season hinge on their Europa League campaign.
Wolves defeated United 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday and Vitor Pereira’s men moved level on points with the Red Devils in the Premier League table.
United are level on points with 13th-place Everton, while Wolves are 15th in the Premier League table and have won all five of their last league matches.
Pablo Sarabia broke the deadlock — and found the winner — with his sensational free-kick for Wolves against United in the second half on the weekend.

Ruben Amorim breaks his silence after Man Utd’s Premier League defeat to Wolves at Old Trafford
Manchester United have won only one of their last five Premier League matches under Ruben Amorim after Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves at Old Trafford.
Amorim has faced an uphill battle at Old Trafford since he succeeded former United manager Erik ten Hag at the Premier League club last November.
Speaking after United’s result on the weekend, the 40-year-old former Sporting CP boss made his feelings clear that United fans needed to hear the truth from him.
“We say to the fans the truth, that we lack a lot of things in our team, that we miss chances,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“If we don’t score goals, we are not going to win. And we have a lot to do and focus on improving the team, step by step, and understanding that, until the end of the league [season], it’s going to be like this. And then we need to do something.”
Ruben Amorim remains focused on Man Utd’s season, despite poor Premier League standing in the 2024-25 campaign
United fell well short of challenging for the top four this season and the Red Devils had their worst Premier League finish in the previous campaign under Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils are unlikely to match United’s eighth-place finish in the 2023-24 campaign and Amorim was asked about his side’s 15th league defeat this season.
“We will address that in the end,” Amorim said.
“We have a plan and talk about that every day. But the season is not over, so let’s focus on that.”
United will travel to the Vitality Stadium on Sunday for their Premier League clash against Bournemouth, with kick-off slated for 2pm UK time.
