Ruben Amorim has admitted that he can “change” his mind and one Manchester United player has now been “performing quite well” under him at Old Trafford.
Manchester United will travel away on Sunday afternoon and the Red Devils will now face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in their Premier League clash.
The Red Devils have only managed one Premier League win in their last five league matches and United are currently 14th in the table with only five matches remaining.
Ruben Amorim’s men fell to their 15th Premier League defeat of the 2024-25 campaign after United’s 1-0 loss to Wolves at Old Trafford last Sunday.
United have only managed 10 wins from 33 Premier League matches and the Red Devils face an uphill task in finishing in the top half of the table this season.
Ruben Amorim’s side are on course for their worst finish in the Premier League era and are unlikely to secure a qualification spot for Europe in the league now.
However, the Europa League campaign remains a lifeline for United and the Red Devils could still snag a place for the Champions League in the 2025-26 season.

Ruben Amorim uses Casemiro as an example for other Man Utd players ahead of the Premier League clash vs Bournemouth
Manchester United are through to the Europa League semi-finals this season and the Red Devils will face La Liga side Athletic Club across two legs in May.
The Europa League offers Ruben Amorim the chance to end his season with his first major silverware as United manager after his arrival at Old Trafford in 2024.
Casemiro has seen a turnaround in form since Amorim replaced ex-United manager Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford dugout and he has impressed at times for his side.
The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder has made 36 appearances across all competitions this season and he had been linked with a move away from United.
Casemiro, who is under contract with United until 2026, has played regularly under Amorim and the former Real Madrid star has been important in the Europa League.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference for the Bournemouth match, Amorim said that Casemiro is an example of how he could change his mind on any player.
“Everything can happen. Casemiro is the best example,” he said on Friday, as per the Manchester Evening News.
“He wasn’t playing and then you see the last games he’s having a part, he’s performing quite well, he’s playing all the time, I like to change my mind, if they change my mind, I like that, I want to put the best players in my team.”

Amorim insisted that he is using the full extent of his United first-team squad to see out the remainder of the Premier League season and the Europa League campaign.
“It matters a lot; what I’m saying with our current squad, you have to take a risk and choose the priority,” he explained.
“I want the best players in every game and sometimes it’s hard for me to take a risk in every game, but in this moment, we have to make choices and I want to protect the young players, I don’t want to put everybody together in the same game so they can’t perform, I want to help the club and I am trying to help.”
Bournemouth and United will meet at 2pm UK time on Sunday for their Premier League match at the Vitality Stadium.
