Roy Keane names ‘three most overrated’ things of all time and leaves Ian Wright speechless with two of his picks

Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane left Arsenal hero Ian Wright in disbelief after the Manchester United legend named the three ‘most overrated’ things in life.

Keane, known for his no-nonsense attitude on the pitch and off it, isn’t afraid to speak his mind and still surprises people to this day with some of the things he says.

The 52-year-old Irishman’s behaviour and demeanour allowed him to excel during his legendary playing career at United and his captaincy at Old Trafford.

Keane, who recently shared how he was banned from United’s Christmas party, previously had a reputation in his career for going on a night out and drinking.

One of the ex-United captain’s former teammates admitted he could be a “nasty drunk at times” and “aggressive” when drinking, despite calling Keane “amazing.”

However, Keane’s drinking reputation at United is long behind him now and the former Red Devils midfielder has come a long way since his alcohol-fuelled days.

Keane’s three most overrated things of all time

Keane appeared in the latest video for The Overlap alongside Wright and fellow Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.

The quartet saw down for a head-to-head tag-team quiz challenge, with former Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy star Paddy McGuinness hosting the quiz.

Ahead of the quiz, however, The Overlap’s Stick to Football show included behind-the-scenes footage and Keane could be heard venting his frustration.

Keane spoke openly about his dissatisfaction with parties after recently attending one and the Irish hardman called them overrated alongside smiling and fireworks.

“That party the other night, honestly,” he said.

“It’s just the noise. The music. So, someone’s next to me. You’re just shouting at each other going […], nobody can understand each other. It’s bizarre.

“The three most overrated things in life – listen to this – parties, smiling and fireworks. They’re pointless. I’m telling you. I’m never again going to a party. It’s bizarre.

“So, nobody can hear each other, but they should have a room where people can have a chat over there.

“How loud was it? And then I realised at the end of the night, I [couldn’t] hear anything. I was stood next to the biggest speaker ever.”

Wright and Carragher’s reaction to Keane’s overrated list

Both Wright and Carragher sat quietly as Keane called parties overrated before bursting into laughter when the United legend mentioned smiling as his second pick.

Keane continued by naming fireworks as his third and final pick, with the former Republic of Ireland insisting that they are “pointless.”

However, the ex-Nottingham Forest star sparked a response from Wright, who staunchly disagreed with Keane over both smiling and fireworks.

“Bro, I’m not having smiling and fireworks. Roy, smiling and fireworks […],” Wright said.

Unfortunately for Wright, the 60-year-old former Arsenal striker was unable to fully respond to Keane as the Irishman continued his rant about parties.
