Roy Keane insisted that one annual celebration day is “overrated” and Manchester United legend Gary Neville did not hesitate in reacting to his ex-teammate’s claim.
Both Gary Neville and Roy Keane played alongside one another at Manchester United and experienced incredible success under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Neville spent his entire playing career under Ferguson and was a key locker-room figure for the legendary ex-United boss towards the end of his spell at Old Trafford.
The Sky Sports pundit was appointed United captain after the exit of Roy Keane, whose relationship with Ferguson fractured amid his departure from the club.
Keane, who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders and captains of all time, was an instrumental figure in Ferguson’s teams of the past.
However, the 52-year-old Irishman was axed from Old Trafford in 2005 and Keane saw out the remainder of his legendary career at Scottish side Celtic.
Keane has since become a key figure in punditry alongside former United teammate Neville, with the pair both appearing regularly in the Sky Sports studio for matches.

Neville reacts to Keane’s overrated claim
Gary Neville and Roy Keane appeared on the latest Stick to Football show alongside fellow Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, Jamie Carragher and Jill Scott.
During The Overlap video, Jill Scott asked United legend Keane if he celebrated Valentine’s Day while offering the Sky Sports pundit a cake.
Keane, who previously named the three most overrated things ever, did not hesitate in responding to Scott and called Valentine’s Day overrated.
“No, it’s overrated,” he said.
“How are you supposed to get them out [referring to the cakes in the box]?”
A smirking Neville hilariously reacted to Keane’s admission and claimed that it would have been more of a “shock” if his former United teammate had said yes.
“It would have been a shock if you said yes, to be fair,” he said.
Man Utd legend Neville on Valentine’s Day
During the conversation about Valentine’s Day, Jamie Carragher asked the rest of the Stick to Football panellists if they received any presents on 14th February.
“I got a card. I got a T-shirt. I got chocolates,” Neville responded.
Carragher quizzed Neville about the shirt he received and the former United full-back said it was a Stone Island top.
Neville, Carragher and Wayne Rooney all burst into laughter, with Liverpool legend Carragher baffled by the idea of getting a Stone Island T-shirt for Valentine’s Day.
“Stone Island. Yeah, but it was nice,” Neville added.
Responding to Neville, Keane said: “What do you mean? You got something for Valentine’s Day? From who?”
