Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly left Turin this afternoon on a private jet amid strong reports of a return to Manchester United.
The Times claim that the jet is not headed to Manchester, though.
Instead, he’s heading to Lisbon as he prepares to link up with his international teammates on Portugal duty next week.
And the Manchester Evening News claim that is where he will conduct his United medical.

It might have been expected that Ronaldo was heading to England to complete his move.
But he will apparently do his medical checks in Portugal.
It is similar to how United were able to confirm the agreement in principle to sign Jadon Sancho despite the fact he was on England duty at Euro 2020.
The situation has moved so quickly, probably while Ronaldo was in the air even.

And the medical is seemingly one of the last few hurdles to clear – and United are already planning it.
This is has been a hugely dramatic day in the transfer window, and it seems United have won a major battle with Manchester City.
