Rio Ferdinand was stunned by how one Tottenham star was able to carve Manchester United apart during the Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
Ange Postecoglou’s men arrived at Old Trafford on Sunday and Tottenham sealed an emphatic 3-0 Premier League win over 10-man Manchester United.
Brennan Johnson fired Spurs into the lead in the 3rd minute of the contest before Dejan Kulusevski doubled Tottenham’s advantage early in the second half.
Dominic Solanke found the back of the net to ensure that Ange Postecoglou’s side comfortably walked away with all three Premier League points.
Erik ten Hag has seen further criticism after United’s toothless performance against Spurs, with the Dutchman overseeing a lacklustre week for the Red Devils.
United endured a disappointing start to their Europa League campaign last Wednesday after FC Twente secured a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils return to Europa League action on Thursday when they travel to Portugal for their clash with Porto at the Estadio do Dragao.

Ferdinand on Tottenham star vs Man Utd
Manchester United are now 12th in the Premier League table after their disappointing performance against Tottenham on the weekend.
Erik ten Hag’s men have only managed two wins from their opening six Premier League matches, with the Red Devils already suffering three league defeats.
Speaking after the 3-0 scoreline at Old Trafford, a furious Rio Ferdinand slammed United’s display and was baffled by the lack of “pride” from the players.
The 45-year-old United legend also spotlighted Micky van de Ven and how the 23-year-old Tottenham star was able to run “through the whole” Red Devils team.
“And we’ll get to the red card in a minute, but Van de Ven ran through the whole team,” Ferdinand said, as per a clip on X.
“And I look at it and just think, but it happened mid-week as well. It happened mid-week.
“Where’s the pride, man? Like, I just, I don’t know, that fight doesn’t seem like it’s where it should be.”
Ferdinand on Bruno Fernandes’ red card
United were reduced to 10 men against Spurs in the first half after Bruno Fernandes was sent off for a challenge on James Maddison.
Bruno Fernandes appeared to slip while committing to the challenge and the United captain caught James Maddison high on the leg with his tackle.
United legend Ferdinand slammed referee Chris Kavanagh for his decision to send off the 30-year-old Portugal midfielder and called it a “bad red card.”
“The Bruno red card, I think, is p**s poor as well,” he said.
“I think it’s a bad red card. In no day and age should that ever be a red card. A straight red, no way, I can’t have it.
“But, do not let that distract from the fact that we were terrible.”
Ferdinand added: “We were an embarrassment today. The red card shouldn’t be an excuse for anybody at Man United now.
“It shouldn’t be an excuse for anyone at the football club.”
