Manchester United loanee Rasmus Hojlund has shown exactly where his confidence is at right now after his message following Napoli’s Champions League win over Sporting CP.
Rasmus Hojlund played the key role in ensuring that Antonio Conte’s men walked away with all three Champions League points after his stunning brace on the night.
The 22-year-old Danish forward broke the deadlock in the first half of Wednesday’s clash after linking up with former Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.
Kevin De Bruyne, who arrived at Napoli in the summer, unlocked the Sporting CP defence by playing Hojlund through on the counterattack for his side’s opener.
On-loan Manchester United striker Hojlund confidently slotted a low shot past an onrushing Rui Silva and the defending Serie A champions Napoli were 1-0 up at half-time.
However, Sporting fought back in the second half and Rui Borges’ men pulled level after Luis Suarez stepped up and converted a spot-kick effort for the equaliser.

Man Utd and Napoli star Rasmus Hojlund shows his sense of humour with his message after the Champions League win vs Sporting CP
Rasmus Hojlund signed off his stunning Napoli performance in the second half after the Manchester United star completed his brace in the Champions League.
Kevin De Bruyne floated a dangerous cross from the left side of the box and Hojlund turned a superb header past Rui Silva to put Napoli 2-1 up against Sporting CP.
Hojlund’s effort cancelled out Luis Suarez’s equaliser for Sporting and allowed Antonio Conte’s side to pick up their first Champions League win of the season.
The Denmark international is now brimming with confidence and Hojlund showed as much to Napoli and United fans with his powerful – and equally hilarious – message.
Posting on Instagram, Hojlund wrote to his followers: “‘Hojlund scores twice in the Champions League after two assists from Kevin de Bruyne’ was not on my 2025 bingo card.”
Man Utd loanee Rasmus Hojlund is oozing with confidence after his strong start to life at Napoli under Antonio Conte
Hojlund has appeared in his element after his return to Italy in the summer, with the Danish forward completing a sensational loan move to Napoli on deadline day.
Since his arrival at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in September, Conte has put his faith in the United striker and the Napoli manager has been rewarded.
Hojlund has made five appearances for Napoli since the start of his loan move and the former Atalanta striker has netted three times for the Serie A outfit so far.
Napoli have taken Hojlund out on a season-long loan and United have included a clause for a permanent £38m transfer in 2026 if certain conditions are met.
Conte has ‘unlocked’ United striker Hojlund at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and the Denmark star showed as much with his impact against Sporting.
