Benjamin Sesko shared a telling exchange at the refurbished Carrington training complex during Manchester United’s signing of the former RB Leipzig striker.
Newcastle had been linked with Benjamin Sesko in recent weeks and the 22-year-old Slovenia striker had previously been a target for Arsenal earlier this summer.
However, Manchester United entered the race to sign the former Newcastle target last week and the Red Devils landed the striker from German side RB Leipzig.
United’s deal for Sesko came at a whopping £73.7m transfer cost to Leipzig, with the Red Devils paying an initial fee of £66.3m for the talented Slovenia international.
Sesko’s move to United saw the former Leipzig ace arrive at Carrington last Friday for his medical ahead of the Red Devils confirming his signing the following day.

Manchester United’s refurbished Carrington re-opened on Friday last week and Benjamin Sesko arrived at the training complex to finalise his move to Old Trafford.
Sesko appeared in front of United fans last Saturday on the Old Trafford pitch alongside fellow signings Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo.
Mark Froggatt has now taken Red Devils supporters behind the scenes during the re-opening of Carrington and Sesko’s blockbuster transfer from RB Leipzig.
Speaking in an editorial for Manchester United’s official website, he said that Sesko received an “unexpected visitor” at Carrington with Bruno Fernandes’ appearance.
Mark Froggatt claimed that Bruno Fernandes had “raced from the training pitches” when the United striker arrived and wanted to “personally welcome” him to the club.
He added that both the 30-year-old United captain and Sesko “embraced” during their first exchange and the pair even “exchanged compliments” with one another.

According to Mark Froggatt, Bruno Fernandes took the opportunity to share a touching ‘promise’ with Sesko during their interaction at Carrington last week.
He said that the Portugal international vowed to “help” the Slovenian “settle in” at the Red Devils, which would extend to his time at the club and off the pitch as well.
Fernandes’ class has not only extended to Slovenia striker Sesko, but the Portugal and United midfielder has also shown his touching nature to the other signings.
It was revealed that the United skipper has “taken new signings” Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo to “some of his favourite hotspots” this summer.
