Manchester United had to settle for a point away at Leeds, as the team’s inconsistent form continued.
After a goal was harshly disallowed for offside in the first half, Manchester United should have known this was not going to be our day.
Ruben Amorim’s side salvaged a 1-1 draw at Leeds after a well taken second half goal from Matheus Cunha.
Cunha’s goal was created by Joshua Zirkzee, who had only been on the pitch for a couple of minutes.
Amorim brought Zirkzee on straight after Leeds had gone 1-0 up, and 180 seconds later, Manchester United were level.

Zirkzee’s impact
It has been a really tough season for Joshua Zirkzee, as he has struggled to win over Ruben Amorim.
He will have been disappointed to be back on the bench against Leeds, but his attitude was certainly right when he came on.
Speaking to MUTV, former midfielder Quinton Fortune placed Zirkzee’s performance in a positive context.
Fortune said: “The reaction of the boys, I have to say. Zirkzee coming on, that’s probably the best I’ve seen him.
“In terms of getting hold of the ball in certain good areas, good touches, final pass.
“Good run from Cunha and a fantastic finish. And then from there, you think, come on, they’re there for the taking.”
United were unable to score a winner and had to settle for a point. Without Zirkzee, it could have been so much worse.

Zirkzee is making an impact
Joshua Zirkzee was unlucky to be taken off at half-time in the previous game with Wolves, after he scored a deflected goal in the first half.
The Dutchman was withdrawn due to a tactical decision from Amorim, and it was a gamble that did not pay off. Against Leeds he was back on the bench.
Zirkzee will not have a place in Manchester United’s best XI when everybody is fit, but right now he deserves a place in the side.
He is finding a way to make an impact, and Amorim should reward him with a start against Burnley.
