Pogba shares photo of him and Danny Welbeck together at Old Trafford 11 years apart

Paul Pogba has shared a photo of him and Danny Welbeck 11 years apart being side by side with one and other at Old Trafford.

The pair were only ever on the pitch together for 79 minutes under Sir Alex Ferguson, but they both finished last night’s match at the Theatre of Dreams against one and other.

Welbeck, United’s former striker, had a great chance to punish Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes’ wastefulness in front of goal and inflict a fourth straight 1-1 draw on Ralf Rangnick’s side.

But in the 90th minute the England international couldn’t score past another of his former teammates David de Gea, as he headed Tariq Lamptey’s cross over the bar.

With the last kick of the game, Fernandes put the game beyond doubt with United’s second following a quick free-kick from Pogba.

At the final whistle Pogba and Welbeck were seen embracing which the World Cup winner shared on his Instagram profile.

Four of Pogba’s eight assists in the Premier League this season have been for Fernandes.

Manchester United’s chief creators have combined with one and other more than anyone else in the Premier League so far this season, according to WhoScored.

Only Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah (9) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (10) have more assists than United’s number six in the top-flight this season.

Such is the chemistry between Fernandes and Pogba, the Portuguese international has unveiled a new nickname with both of their surnames combined together.

Reacting on Instagram, Pogba has seemingly given his seal of approval to the ‘Brogba’ combination.
