Donny van de Beek has been pictured wearing Manchester United’s kit for the first time.
United confirmed Van de Beek’s signing, following a swiftly conducted transfer with Ajax.
Van de Beek becomes United’s first signing of the summer, and hopefully he will not be the last.
The Dutchman is an upgrade in terms of squad depth for United, and with a packed fixture schedule, he is likely to play more than 40 games for the club in all competitions this coming season.
United have also confirmed Van de Beek will wear the squad number 34.
Van de Beek’s ability to score from midfield is an important trait, and now with Bruno Fernandes in there too, United’s side is packed with goalscorers.
Currently the Dutchman is on international duty with the Netherlands, and will fly to Manchester to join up with the squad next week.
United’s first game of the season is against Crystal Palace on September 19.
