Phil Jones has thanked Manchester United supporters for the positive messages he has received after his release was confirmed.
Manchester United confirmed Phil Jones’ departure last week, after 13 years at Old Trafford. His contract officially expires on June 30.
United presented Phil Jones with a special signed shirt and there were tributes from colleagues past and present, including Harry Maguire.

Phil Jones says thank you
Sending a message out via Twitter, Jones expressed thanks for the positive messages he has received since his Manchester United departure was announced.
Rather than focus on his injury-ravaged last few seasons, United fans reflected on the good times Jones gave to the club, contributing to a title win in 2012/13.
He explains he will be at Wembley to cheer the team on in the FA Cup final.
MORE UNITED STORIES
He said: “I want to express my thanks for the incredible love and support over the last week. I’ve known how special the United fans are, but this week has shown just how special.
“I hope you enjoy the FA Cup Final, I’ll be supporting the lads in the stands, backing them just as much as you.”
Jones was at Wembley for the Carabao Cup final, even making a brief punditry appearance before kick-off.
This time Jones may simply be there as a supporter, keen to cheer Manchester United on to more silverware.
If you are lucky enough to have a ticket for the final, look out for Jones in the crowd.
