Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt recalled how fellow Manchester United legend Roy Keane dropped a “b********g” on one legendary figure who took part in training.
Roy Keane made a long-lasting impact during his time at Old Trafford after his remarkable captaincy under iconic former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 53-year-old former Manchester United captain was well known for his tough-as-nails reputation and no-nonsense attitude on and off the pitch.
Keane was a commanding box-to-box midfielder during his time and the United legend excelled as club captain after Eric Cantona’s retirement in 1997.
The Irishman famously captained United to their iconic treble win in the 1998-99 season under legendary ex-Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Despite his commanding influence as captain, Keane’s legendary spell at Old Trafford came to an end in 2005 after his falling out with Ferguson.
The Irish hardman saw out the remainder of his remarkable playing career at Scottish side Celtic before he retired from football in 2006.

Keane loses his temper with legend
Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt both played with Roy Keane in the heart of the Manchester United midfield during their respective careers at Old Trafford.
Butt rose through the United youth academy into the first team in the 1990s and enjoyed a trophy laden spell at the club under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Scholes, who was a famed ‘Class of ‘92’ alumni alongside the likes of Butt, spent his entire playing career at Old Trafford across two different spells.
Speaking on Football’s Greatest podcast, Scholes and Butt revealed that pop legend Mick Hucknall once took part in a United training session.
Butt hilariously admitted that the legendary singer-songwriter had “no co-ordination” and Mick Hucknall’s showing in training even led to a scolding from Keane.
“I don’t know if you remember, years and years before when we played Barcelona, even Bobby Charlton trained with us one night,” Scholes said.
“Remember Mick Hucknall trained with us, too? We got beat 4-1 that night.”
Butt added: “Mick Hucknall should have played actually because we were all crap! He was awful. He didn’t look like a footballer; he had no co-ordination.
“He could sing really well maybe he should have stuck to that one. I remember Keano giving him a b********g because he kept giving the ball away.”
Man Utd legend Butt on Hucknall
Butt admitted that he did not think that Ferguson “was too happy” when Mick Hucknall brought the former Miss World to United before a match.
‘I don’t know what her name was, but she was a good-looking girl,” he said.
“She came to the pre-match, he brought her in.
“I don’t think the manager was too happy about that. Everyone’s attention went from the game.”
