‘Never in a million years…’ Marcus Rashford told Man Utd won’t allow him one thing even if he ‘kicks off massively’

Manchester United are probably looking at Marcus Rashford perform for Aston Villa right now with a bittersweet feeling as he has come out of the blocks flying.

After Rashford’s encouraging Aston Villa debut, he’s been on a mission to make sure that wasn’t regarded as a flash in the pan.

Unai Emery has become a huge Rashford fan already, and with his recent two-assist display vs Chelsea, he did something for Villa that he last did for United nearly four years ago.

However, all those accolades will take a sidestep in the summer when Rashford’s loan spell is up, with Villa holding a buy option worth £40 million.

Ben Foster rules out one thing for Marcus Rashford

In an ideal scenario, probably for all parties involved, Rashford keeps impressing at Villa and they exercise their buy option, giving United £40 million of pure profit to kickstart their business.

However, as seen in January, things are never straightforward with Rashford, who was the subject of a topsy-turvy transfer saga.

The possibility of him impressing at Villa and fancying his chances of a move to a more traditional top club, for example, his dream club Barcelona, aren’t out of the question.

He rejected the advances of clubs in January so he could do the same in the summer. Ben Foster, speaking on his YouTube channel, has told Rashford that if he does decide to do that, he can forget about one move in particular – a transfer to Arsenal, after murmurs of a move in January as well.

Foster said: “Man Utd would never loan him to Arsenal [in January], never in a million years. They’re not going to send him [now].

Even if Marcus Rashford kicks off massively, Manchester United would never, ever, ever send him to Arsenal, never in a million years. Happily send him to Villa. It’s that next rung down. They’re never sending him to Arsenal, I guarantee you that.”

Man Utd made the correct choice on Marcus Rashford-Arsenal

Rashford has already confirmed to United that they made the correct choice to not send him to Arsenal if there was interest in January by doing well at Villa.

In the process, he’s probably made their mind up for the summer as well because now that they know he only needed a change of surroundings to find form, there’s no way United let that new surrounding be Arsenal.

Furthermore, Rashford is flying at Villa in a striker role, something that Arsenal sorely need in their squad so the fit would’ve been easy as well.

That move looked unlikely in January but after his first few performances for Villa, it looks impossible in the summer, and rightly so.
