Marcus Rashford grabbed the headlines on Saturday with an impressive cameo display off the bench as Aston Villa beat Chelsea.
There have already been several positive stories to come from loans concerning Manchester United players, including Antony, who has scored three goals since joining Real Betis for the remainder of the season.
In the Premier League on Saturday, Marcus Rashford came off the bench and changed the game in Aston Villa’s favour because they trailed by one goal when he was introduced.
Both goals were scored by fellow new recruit Marco Asensio and both were assisted by Rashford. It was an ideal evening at the office for Unai Emery.
Happy to be off the mark, Asensio was quick to credit Rashford for his two goals after the match. He will hope his new teammate can help provide more goals at Villa Park.

Asensio hails ‘dangerous’ Marcus Rashford after double assist
Now that Rashford has got off to a flying start at Villa, the pressure will start to grow because goal contributions will be expected regularly. Especially for a player of his ilk.
Rashford looked like a player full of confidence again as he attempted to push for more goals against Chelsea late on.
Speaking after the win, Asensio told Sky Sports: “We know the quality of Marcus [Rashford]. He helped us a lot. Thank you also to Marcus for the two assists [laughs].”
Rashford has yet to score his first goal in a Villa shirt. That will have to wait but Unai Emery and his teammates will be happy with his substitute cameo on Saturday.
Aston Villa have a new hero
There will be non-stop hype surrounding Rashford at Villa Park following his two assists against Chelsea.
According to his fellow teammate Youri Tielemans, he is someone who will ‘only get better’ once he gets back to playing regular minutes under Emery.
“[I am] very pleased, especially the way he is performing now and with the two assists today,” Tielemans said.
“Marcus is someone who can threaten everyone one versus one and even one versus two. He is very important for us in the way he plays because he gives us something different on the left-hand side.”
This means Villa are expecting regular goalscoring output from Rashford this season and we wish them the best of luck on that front. It didn’t happen over the past two years for him at United, but maybe a fresh beginning elsewhere is exactly what he needed to resurrect his career.
Meanwhile, United drew 2-2 with Everton and Ruben Amorim could have done with a spark in attack.
United were tame for 70 minutes and only kicked into life towards the end. They did enough to seal a point for their troubles.
