Manchester United will have a number of players in action over the summer as international tournaments take centre stage.
We are nearly two weeks removed from the FA Cup final victory and Manchester United’s rather turbulent season is over.
The football doesn’t stop though and United players are now away with their countries ahead of two major tournaments this summer.
Euro 2024 and Copa America are just around the corner and United will be sending players around the world.
Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes will be turning out for Portugal whilst Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo will link up with England.
Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho will be in action for Argentina at Copa America too, with United having a strange quirk of having multiple internationals in the same team rather than a wide spread of players across various countries.

Danish media on Christian Eriksen
It’s a similar story with Denmark too; they will have two United players on show with Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund in action.
Hojlund showed real promise in his first season as a United player and heads into Euro 2024 as Denmark’s leading striker.
Eriksen has been Denmark’s biggest star for around a decade now but a lack of regular football with United means he would be forgiven for not being quite at his best this summer.
The 32-year-old started just 12 Premier League games and the Danish media shared their concerns about his displays back in March.
Eriksen started as a number 10 for Denmark against Sweden on Wednesday night and not only set up Pierre-Emile Hojbjeg’s opener, but also scored a superb late winner in a 2-1 victory.
The United ace curled home a long-range strike to win the game and give Denmark fans a real boost ahead of Euro 2024.
The Danish media have now given their thoughts on Eriksen’s latest performance and have been left seriously impressed.
Bold gave Eriksen a nine out of 10 rating, praising his set pieces whilst believing that he can make a huge impact at Euro 2024 with this kind of display.
“He must laugh at those who criticize him. Forget about little playing time and bad form. The creator from Funen was as if transformed on the set pieces, which were constantly dangerous. Eriksen was just in the mood to play, and therefore it was only fitting that he curled it in the box shortly before full time. That Eriksen can be REALLY worth a lot in Germany.”
BT rated Eriksen at five out of six stars, suggesting that he silenced critics who have questioned his set-piece ability.
They added that Eriksen showed ‘smart dribbling’ and an ‘ice-cold’ finish to win the game,
“Then he seemed to shut up all those who believe that his corner kick only reaches the opponent’s first man. First with a millimetre exactly one to Højbjerg, and then he served the ball in for four or five scoring chances – and that new weapon can be very decisive for Denmark at the EC. And then we just have to take our hat off for that box – smart dribbling and ice-cold executed in the long corner. Perfect timing with such an effort.”
Tipsbladet were blown away, stating that Eriksen ‘owned the pitch’ and was simply ‘world class’ against Sweden, believing that playing as a number 10 suited him perfectly.
“After today, the discussion about his EC eligibility must stop, because Christian Eriksen owned the pitch today. Yes, yes, it was a training match, and the Swedes gave a lot of space away, but it was almost the “old” Eriksen, we saw with lots of delicious details and razor-sharp kicks – yes, even the set pieces were in the cupboard! It suited him to be the most offensive of the three in the middle, and his winning goal says it all. World class!”

Eriksen’s Manchester United future unclear
Eriksen would be forgiven for looking at Euro 2024 as something of a shop window.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star hasn’t featured as much as he would have liked at United and Eriksen admitted in March that he is ‘dissatisfied’ with his role at Old Trafford.
Eriksen spoke to Erik ten Hag about his lack of playing time and reports in April suggested that Ineos were ready to let the midfielder go.
Impressing at Euro 2024 could drive interest in Eriksen and present possible exit routes, possibly working out well for both Eriksen and United.
Eriksen certainly won’t want another season sitting on the United bench, especially if he is going to spend his summer as a key player for Denmark.
A parting of the ways may be best for all and Eriksen should be desperate to shine this summer and potentially land himself a fresh start away from Old Trafford.
