Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund made an impressive debut as a substitute in the clash against Arsenal.

Rasmus Hojlund has had to wait far longer than he would have liked to make his Manchester United debut, after arriving with an injury.

He produced a promising cameo in the defeat to Arsenal, and should have had a penalty when he was dragged down inside the box.

When the international break is over, he is expected to start in United’s next game against Brighton.

Hojlund congratulated

Rasmus Hojlund wrote on Instagram: “So proud to make my debut for @manchesterunited the Dream became a reality❤️ Unlucky with the result today… but we Will bounce back after the international break. Now focus on 🔜🇩🇰”.

International teammate and new Napoli signing Jesper Lindstrom reached out to respond, making clear he was impressed.

There was also praise from former Atalanta teammates Ademola Lookman and Teun Koopmeiners, while new teammate Kobbie Mainoo also posted too.

Hojlund a handful

Rasmus Hojlund’s display was praised on Match of the Day, along with Gary Neville, and the pundits in the MUTV studio.

Hojlund was lively, put himself about, and got into dangerous positions. There was a lot to be encouraged about.

We just have to hope now that he returns from Denmark duty in one piece.
