Michael Carrick has spoken out about Matheus Cunha and Matthijs de Ligt’s injuries ahead of Manchester United’s huge test against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Matheus Cunha was unable to feature in Manchester United’s last outing against Brentford at Old Trafford on Monday after he was ruled out with a hip injury.
United chalked up a 2-1 win over Brentford without the involvement of Cunha, who has been a key attacking option for interim boss Michael Carrick in recent months.
Cunha has made 32 appearances across all competitions for United and has netted eight times and registered four assists in his debut season at the Red Devils.

Matthijs de Ligt has been on the path to recovery after his injury setback this season, with the 26-year-old Dutchman missing 29 matches in a row since then.
