Matheus Cunha has candidly opened up on the news that Manchester United and Brazil teammate Casemiro will leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Casemiro entered the final six months of his Manchester United contract and the veteran midfielder was linked with a summer exit from the Premier League club.

United had the option to extend Casemiro’s contract by 12 months, but the Red Devils ultimately decided against the decision to keep the Brazilian at Old Trafford.
United and Casemiro confirmed the news in January that the five-time Champions League winner was playing in his final season at the Premier League club.
The 33-year-old United midfielder has enjoyed a career resurgence under former Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim and interim head coach Michael Carrick.

Casemiro was free to speak with clubs during the January transfer window and could have signed a pre-contract agreement ahead of his Old Trafford exit in the summer.
It remains unclear what the former Real Madrid star will do next in his club playing career, having been linked with teams in the Saudi Pro League in the past.

Matheus Cunha will link up with Manchester United teammate Casemiro in the summer for Brazil’s World Cup campaign in North America under Carlo Ancelotti.
Speaking on the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, Cunha was asked how much he would miss Casemiro being at the Premier League club after this season.
“So much,” he responded.

Cunha found the back of the net in United’s 3-2 win over Fulham earlier this month, with Casemiro assisting his Brazil teammate with a superb no-look assist.
The 26-year-old former Wolves ace admitted that he didn’t realise Casemiro pulled off a no-look pass, but Cunha showed his admiration with what he told him.

“I didn’t see it was a no-look assist against Fulham,” Cunha said.
“I remember saying, ‘Thank you, love you.’ I will miss him so much.”
Casemiro, who arrived at Old Trafford in 2022, has scored five times and registered two assists in 25 matches across all competitions in his final Man Utd season so far.
