Ben Foster has singled out Benjamin Sesko after the Manchester United star’s latest impact under Michael Carrick in the Premier League clash against West Ham.
Benjamin Sesko fell out of the starting XI at Manchester United after interim manager Michael Carrick made his sensational return to the Premier League club.
Benjamin Sesko is averaging a goal every 48 minutes over his last six appearances
Should Sesko be starting more games for United?
The 22-year-old Slovenian forward came off the bench earlier this month and Sesko made a sensational impact in Man Utd’s 3-2 win over Fulham at Old Trafford.
Sesko netted in injury time in United’s dramatic encounter against Fulham and ensured that Carrick’s men walked away with all three Premier League points.
Fast forward to Man Utd’s 1-1 draw against West Ham on Tuesday evening and Sesko made his presence felt in the dying stages of the Premier League match.

Michael Carrick turned to Benjamin Sesko in the second half against West Ham and the Slovenia international came on in the 69th minute for Matheus Cunha.
United trailed West Ham for the majority of the second half before Sesko produced a sensational first-time volley from a superb Bryan Mbeumo cross in injury time.
Ben Foster admitted that he did not expect United summer signing Sesko to have that level of instinctive – and quality – finishing in his attacking arsenal.
How do you predict Benjamin Sesko’s career at Manchester United will go?
It's early – but let's see your predictions!
“Man United, one last-minute goal, by the way, what a finish by Sesko,” he said on the Fozcast podcast.
“Unreal. I’ve never thought he had that in the locker, because it’s the only place it can go.
“It’s the toppest of top corners, right? There’s an angle from behind where it goes, and I mean, like the toppest of top corners, and I still had to watch it back a couple of times to go, how has he struck that by the way?
“Did he bounce first? But he didn’t, he loosens his foot.”

Not even an outstretched Mads Hermansen could deny Sesko’s stunning strike from rattling into the top right corner of the West Ham net on Tuesday evening.
Reacting to Sesko’s crucial injury-time equaliser, Foster continued: “So, it’s an unreal skill, yeah?
“He’s had to loosen his ankle, right? And literally just whop it at it like that.
“He’s not trying to do it hard; he’s trying to take pace off the ball, he’s just trying to guide it.
“But from that angle he’s running at, the angle that the ball’s come at, he’s got to loosen his ankle so much and just softly hit it, and oh my God, it was beautiful.”
Sesko has netted seven times and registered one assist in 23 matches across all competitions in the 2025-26 campaign after his 2025 move from RB Leipzig.
