Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek are training Carrington this week and are working under the supervision of medical and fitness staff.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken a squad of 27 down to Surrey for a training camp, but the pair will only link up with them next week on July 26.
They are both building up their fitness after injury problems which kept them out of Euro 2020.
Van de Beek was named in the Netherlands squad before being forced to pull out with a groin injury.

Martial picked up a knee injury on international duty in March. That kept him out of the rest of the season and ruled him out of France’s summer plans.
Both France and the Netherlands exited Euro 2020 at the last 16 stage, stunned by Switzerland and Czech Republic respectively.
Martial and van de Beek are building their fitness slowly before they start pre-season training properly next week.
Solskjaer commented on the pair after Sunday’s 2-1 win at Derby saying as per MEN: “They’re not ready yet. They’ll probably be 100 per cent training with us a week on Monday. They’re still working hard to step into the group.”

Last week, van de Beek surprised 150 children on their final day of a summer football camp, according to reports in the Netherlands.
He had apparently been working on his fitness nearby beforehand at that point and has stepped up his recovery this week.
It might have been hoped that both players could play a full part in pre-season, but they’ve had to be patient so far.
But they’ll be looking to make an impact when they do return. Marcus Rashford’s potential surgery and Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes’ delayed returns should hand both men opportunities to impress during pre-season.
